Rakhi Birla real name Rakhi Bidhlan, born in year 1987, belongs to Delhi. She is the youngest Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Delhi in AAP Government. Ms. Birla is MLA from Mangol Puri Constituency of Delhi.
Mr. Bhupendra Singh Bidhlan is the father of Rakhi and Mrs. Sheila Bidhlan is her mother. "Birla" surname was mistakenly wrote by school administration in 10th certificate, that's why she had to adopt it. She did Masters in Mass Communication from NBA School Of Mass Communication, New Delhi.
She was working for Jain TV as a reporter and met Arvind Kejriwal during the Anna Movement for Jan Lokpal. She got influenced with the principles and policies of his team. Later on, he joined politics after leaving his job and contested election in December, 2013 for Delhi assembly.
She won over the famous MLA Raj Kumar Chauhan (Congress) by defeating him with a very large margin. She is Cabinet minister of Women and Child, Social Welfare and Languages in Delhi Government now as well as the youngest ever Cabinet Minister of Delhi.
