Bhagwant Mann, took birth in village Satauj which is located in Sangrur district in Punjab state of India in the family of Mr. S. Mahinder Singh (his father). His birth date is 17 October, 1973. He is a famous comedian as well as well known politician too. Currently he is serving as Member of Parliament (M.P.) from Sangrur, Punjab. He belongs to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which is being head by Arvind Kejriwal. His career as a comedian started from participating in various festivals and inter-college competitions, which gave him so much exposure. Because of his awesome work in comedy field, he achieved two gold medals at very young age. Both was awarded by Shaheed Udham Singh Government College, Punjab University, Patiala. He has earned enormous fame for his creative skits in Punjabi language. He launched Punjabi comedy albums which were a huge success and which focused on issues like politicians, policemen, business department and sports. He linked up with Jagtar Jaggi and launched shows for Punjabi channel Alpha ETC Punjabi. They both were partners for very long period of time. They both even did shows in Canada and England “No life with wife”. He has also worked in various Punjabi movies like Police in Pollywood, Moga to Melbourne Via Chandigarh, Kulfi Garma Garam, Hero Hitler in Love, Sukhmani – Hope for Life, Ekam – Son of Soil, Apne, Sikandera, Sukha, Nain Preeto De, Tabaahi, Kachehri etc. He was famous from the name “Jugnu”. He competed in the Great Indian Laughter Challenge, a comedy show on Star Plus. By this he attained a lot of popularity and success. He started his political career in 2011 by joining politics of Punjab by being a member of people’s party of Punjab. He later joined Aam Aadmi Party in 2014 and he sure won by 200,000 votes. He set a record by this and became Member of Parliament. He is famous for his social works too, he started an NGO Lok Lehar Foundation, which help children with deformities and take care of welfare of children. Before Aam Aadmi Party, he has also been a member of People's Party Of Punjab from year 2012 to 2014.
