Vivek Oberoi is a well known Indian film actor who is known for working in Bollywood films. He is a versatile actor who has worked in assorted kinds of movies that have been appreciated not only by the audiences but critics alike. Vivek was born on 3rd September 1976 in the filmy family. His father Suresh Oberoi is a well-known film actor who also worked in several films along with famous actors and directors.
Vivek Oberoi started his career with the much acclaimed and superhit movie Company in the year 2002. The film was directed by Ram Gopal Verma. For this film, the actor was awarded best debut Filmfare award and also Best Supporting Male actor award. Oberoi was born and brought up in Hyderabad. His father was noted businessman running a medical store chain which was a family business. His mother is Yashodhara Oberoi, who comes from the royal family in the south. The actor did his schooling from a public school in Hyderabad and later went to study at Mayo College, Ajmer. Later he joined Mithibai College in Juhu. In London, he was spotted by the director of the New York University, and later the actor completed Masters Degree in Film acting.
Vivek Oberoi is involved in various social services as well. He was awarded bravery award as well for adopting a village and rebuilt again which was hit by a Tsunami. He is WHO spokesperson for Anti-Tobacco. Vivek married in 2010 to Priyanka Alva, who is the daughter of Karnataka Minister Jeevaraj Alva. The two are blessed with a son named Vivaan.
