Sweta Singh, born on 21 August, 1977 in New Delhi is now known as an Indian journalist and news presenter. She completed her graduation from Patna University with a degree in mass communication. Her career started with Times of India, Patna while being in first year of her college. She worked as a print journalist and covered Bihar. She later joined Hindustan Times, and worked for it. In 1998, she switched to electronic media. While working for electronic media, she started with Zee News and Sahara. Her career with Aaj Tak, which is a Hindi Language television network in India, started in 2002.

She covered news in sports sector and has her expertise in it. She hosted her show ‘Sourav ka Sixer’, which brought her an award for best sports programme by Sports Journalism Federation of India(SJFI) in 2005.she was awarded as a Best Anchor by ITV in 2012.  She even received award for Best News Producer –Hindi in ENBA Awards(2013) for Vandemataram. She is now working as a news anchor and editor, special programming of Aaj Tak. she consider Vinod Dua and Prasun Punya as her idols. Her contribution to media world is applause worthy.
