Saravanan Sivakumar popularly known as Suriya was born on 23rd July 1975 age 42 years in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India works in Tamil Cinema is a popular Film Actor, Producer, and also an Anchor. Made his Debut in 1977 with Nerukku Ner, he got quite popular, and was on his way to success with movies like Nandha in 2001 and Commercial thriller blockbuster movie Kaakha kaakha and with his Award winning movie Pithamagan in 2003, then in 2004 with movie Perazahgan, whose bollywood remake Ghajini released in 2005, then he played the double role in Vaaranam Aayiram in 2008, from 2009, he was an established and heartthrob actor, in 2009 played the role of smuggler in Ayan, then Singham series, in 2011 with 7 Am Arivy, in 2014 with Maattrraan, and 24 in 2016, has won many Awards such as 4 Filmfare Award and 3 Tamil Nadu State Film Award.
Suriya is the eldest son of actor Sivakumar, and his brother Karthi is also an established Actor. After being for several years, he married his love Jyothika, the couple worked in more than 7 films and got married on 11 September 2006 and are blessed with two Children, one daughter named Diya and one son named Dev who were born on 10 August 2007 and 7 June 2010 respectively. He is also a Social Worker and opened his foundation named as Agaram Foundation, to help people in need. Also stepped on the Small screen with Star Vijay as a Host of the game show which is the Tamil Version of Who Wants to Be A Millionaire? Named as Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi. Also, he has his own production house named as 2D Entertainment, also he is 4th most trolled Tamil actors in India on social media. His parents are Actor Sivakumar and Lakshmi, did his Schooling from Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan School, and for his higher studies, he attended Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai.
