The eligible candidate must not be a part of any office of profit under the government of India or under any state governments as well.
The Prime minister is required to take the oath in the presence of the honourable President of India. The two main oath taken by the Prime Minister according to the laws of the constitution of India are; oath of office and oath of secrecy.
