National School Of Drama (NSD) is located in Connaught Place area of New Delhi. National School of Drama is an institute which comes under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It basically offers the services to train theater artists for plays, skits, shows etc. Several big names in film industry belong to this pioneer institute. It was started by Sangeet Natak Akademi but now it is an independent body since 1975. Already it has been granted as a deemed university for its diploma courses. The three year full time diploma for theater professions is the only course of this institution. Few big names who are pass our from NSD are Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Irrfan Khan, Pankaj Kapur, Nawazuddin Siddique, Manoj Bajpayee, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Anupam Kher etc. There are several others big names too, which have been created by NSD since its establishment. NSD also have their own auditorium too, named as Abhimanch Audiotirum.
