Kishan Mahipal born on 1st January 1979 is one of the most popular folk singer and music directors of Uttarakhand. He was born and bought up in Badrinath, Uttarakhand, belonging to a very poor Bhotias family; his parents are father Narayan Singh and mother Jaithi Devi. He did his graduation in Economics and Accounts, after completing his graduation he started his music career with a Theatrical Institute, where he used to act and sing. During his college days, he was more into extracurricular activities. During one of performance where Mr BP Yadav one of his professors listened to him singing, he was mesmerized by his voice and gave him Rs. 30,000 to make his own album so that it can reach huge audiences.
Kishan has won many hearts of Uttarakhand people. His one of his album named Kinghri Ka Jhaala Ghughuti and Paangari Ka Daala Ghughuti gained huge popularity and made him the most modernized singer after Narendra Singh Negi in Uttarakhand. This multi-talented person has the ability to achieve more in his life.
His debut album named O Re Saangli was enjoyed by the audiences which helped him to entertain his fans more with his voice. Apart from singing he also composes, direct and writes songs.
