Gurpreet Singh Sandhu is a Goalkeeper for Indian Club Bengaluru FC. He was born on 3rd February 1992 in Chamkaur Sahib, Punjab, India. He is 25 years old. Gurpreet interest in football aroused when he was just 8 years old boy, and joined St. Stephen’s Academy in 2000. As he was giving his best performances with each match, he was selected for his State Youth Team, the Punjab U16s.
In Haldwani, Sandhu made his youth state level debut in 2006. Afterwards, he joined I-League side East Bengal as a young player and palyed for the Kolkata based teams. Singh did his graduation from DAV College in Chandigarh. He is a great fan of former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der sar and Indian International goalkeeper Subrata Pal. Currently, he is playing for Bengaluru FC. For 2000-2009, he played for St. Stephen’s FA, after this for one year that is 2009-2010 he played for Eat Bengal, in Senior Carrer, for 2009-2014 Singh played for East Bengal, for 2010- 2014 for Pailan Arrows, for 2014 – 2017, for Stabaek, and from 2017 gain he is playing for Bengaluru FC.
Gurpreet has also been selected for National Teams, like for the year 2010 he played for India U19, for 2010-2012 he played for IndiaU23, and from 2011 he is playing for India. Gurpreet became the first ever Indian to play a competitive match for the top division European Club and after Mohammed Salim, Baichung Bhutia, Sunil Chhetri and Subrata Pal, he became the 5th Indian to play professionally. He also played the UEFA Europa League and became first Indian to reach there.
