Garry Sandhu whose original name is Gurumukh Singh Sandhu was born on 4 April, 1984 in the village of Rurka Kalan which is near Goraya district in Jalandhar, India. His interest in music was developed when while being a child he was taught Kavishri and performed at his local Gurdwara. By this he attained and recognized spiritual side of music.

In 2002, he moved to Birmingham, UK where actually his singing career began. He released hit singles by collaborating with UK based producers. His introduction in music industry was made in 2010 after his debut song ‘Mai Nee Peenda’. This was the starting and success of his music career which got him performing for MTV Asia. His song ‘Brick’ released in 2012 was successful worldwide and topped all charts. His debut album ‘Magic’ was released in 2012.

He continued releasing audio as well as video albums which made him a famous Punjabi singer. He was seen collaborating and associating with different singers and rappers, which took his success to a different level. He also made his debut in Punjabi movie in a leading role for a film Romeo Ranjha with jazzy B in 2014, which was a hit. He was awarded as Best Punjabi Music Vocalist, Best Punjabi Music Due Vocalist.
