Esha was born on November 1981 in Bombay, India, daughter of Hema Malini and Dharmendra. She is elder sister of Ahana Deol. She is a half sibling of Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol, Vijeeta and Ajeeta. She attended the Mithibai College in Mumbai and she decided to become a fashion designer. She is trained in Odissi dancing style under Mumbai Guru Rabindra Atubuddhi. She was also trained in Bharatnatyam dance by her mother Hema Malini. Esha started her career by a lead role in movie Koi Mere Dil se Poochein year 202 opposite to Aftab Shivdasani. The movie is a failure at the box office but she got good reviews from the critics. After this, her second movie was Na Tum Jaano Na Hum opposite to Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan. After this, she appeared in many Hindi movies but failed to get huge success in any movie. She made her debut in Tamil movie named as Aayutha Ezhuthu.
