He was born on 8 December 1835 in Nasrali, Punjab, British India and currently he is lived in Phagwara, Punjab, India. He spent his early in the popular village of Punjab named as Sahnewal. He was studied at Government Senior Secondary School at Lalton Kalan, Ludhiana. He made his debut in the year 1960 by film Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere.
