Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) which is popularly and shortly known as CTU was founded in the year 1966 on 1^ST November. Founders started it with 30 buses only but in today’s date there are many CTU buses running in Chandigarh. The main function of CTU is to provide bus services to the general public within the city. CTU buses are running in states i.e Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan etc. Daily Operation (Kms)

• City Services = 45000kms.
• Sub Urban Services = 15000kms.
• Long Route Services = 35000kms.
