Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University is located in Pune, Maharashtra. The head office is in Pune. Bharati Vidyapeeth was established in 1964 by Dr. Patangrao Kadam. In short Bharati Vidyapeeth is also known as BVP. At present, Bharati Vidyapeeth has its campuses in New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad, Satara and Pachgani. On April 26, 1996 the Government of India on the recommendation of the University Grant Commission (UGC) allowed the status of “Deemed to be University” to 12 institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University is Re-Accredited by NAAC with “A” Grade. From the last 40 years and so on, Bharati Vidyapeeth has made so much progress in education, especially in higher and professional education. There are 78 schools and 60 institutions of higher education including professional education run by Bharati Vidyapeeth. There are more than 70,000 students in BVP. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University is a member of Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The Chancellor of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University is Dr. Patangrao Kadam who is the founder of Bharati Vidyapeeth. The Vice-Chancellor of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University is Prof. Dr. Shivajirao Kadam. The Secretary of BVDU is Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University offered under graduate, post graduate, research, diploma and certificate programs.
