Ambedkar University, Delhi (AUD) is a university situated in Delhi, India. Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University in short is also known as Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD). Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is a public university. The Government of the NCT of Delhi via an Act of Legislature established the Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) in 2007. In 2008 the AUD commenced his functioning. The AUD is wholly financed by the Government of the NCT of Delhi. AUD has been recognized by the UGC under section 22 of UGC Act, 1956. The University has been set up to award degrees. The AUD operate from two campuses, one at Kashmere Gate and the other at Dwarka. Both the campuses is having good infrastructure in terms of reading rooms, computer labs, wi-fi connection, library and online journals. There are 17 colleges affiliated to Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University. The Chancellor of Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is Sh. Tejendra Khanna who is also the Honorable Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. The Vice Chancellor of Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is Prof. Shyam B. Menon. Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University offers undergraduates, postgraduates and Ph.D courses. Some of the courses offered by the university are B.A. (H) (in Economics, English, History, Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology, Social Sciences and Humanities and Dual Major), M.A. (in English, Sociology, History, Development, Studies, Environment & Development, Gender Studies, Psychology, Visual Art Practice, Economics, Performance Studies, Film Studies, Social Design, Education, Literacy Art Creative Writing), MBA, One year PG Diploma in Publishing, M.Phil and Ph.D (in various streams). The facilities which are being provided by the university to the students are Hostel, Laboratories, Canteen, Sports Facility, Health Centre, Guest House, IT Services and Extra Curriculum Activities (like Theatre Society, Debating Society and Literacy Society).
