Arshad Warsi is an Indian actor who born on 19 April 1968. He is also a Producer, Television Personality and a Playback Singer. Due to financial problems, he had worked as a door to door salesman at the age of 17. After that he worked in a photo lab. Then he received an offer to join the Akbar Sami’s Dance group by which he started his dancing and choreographing in Thikana (1987) and Kaash (1987).
In 1991, at the age of 21, he won the Indian Dance Competition at World Dance Championship. Later he started his own Dance Academy titled ‘Awesome’. Then he got an opportunity to choreograph the song of film Roop Ki Rani Choro Ka Raja in 1993. But during this time he was offered a role in the film Tere Mere Sapne. His appearance as a small dancer in Aag Se Khelenge. He did small roles in such films Betaabi, Hero Hindustani, Hogi Pyar Ki Jeet and Trishakti. In 2001, he worked in two films Gaanth and Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachao.
In 2002, he also worked in two films Jaani Dushman; Ek Anokhi Kahani and Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part 2. In 2003, He played a role of Circuit in the film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S starred by Sanjay Dutt. The film was directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film got the huge success at the box office. His release of 2004 Hulchul won him the GIFA Best Comedian-actor. In 2005, he worked in the films Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya?, Salaam Namaste, Chocolate and Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi.
In 2006, he appeared in the film Golmaal: Fun Unlimited which was the sequel of Golmaal. His next release was Raj Kaushal’s, Anthony Kaun Hai?. In the same year, he appeared in the film Lage Rahe Munna Bhai by which he won his first Filmfare Award for his performance. In the same year, he appeared in the film Kabul Express. In 2007, he did several projects including Dhamaal, Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal and Krazzy 4. In 2008, he did two films Mr. Black and Mr. White and Golmaal Returns. Also in 2009, he did two films Kisse Pyar Karu and Shortcut. In the year 2010, he won the Screen Award For Best Supporting Actor at IIFA Awards. Then he produced his own film Hum Tum Or Ghost in which he acted also. The film got several negative reviews. After that, he appeared in the film Golmaal 3. The film got positive reviews from critics and audience and earned the huge financial success.
In 2011, he gave several Bollywood hits including F.A.L.T.U. and Double Dhamaal. In 2012, he did only a single project Ajab Gajab Love. In the year 2013, he appeared in an action thriller Zila Ghaziabad. In the same year, he appeared in the film Jolly LLB. The film was his first solo hit by which he awarded the BIG Star Entertainment Award for Most Entertaining Actor in a Comedy Film (Male). He also won the IIFA Award and Apsara Film Producers Guild Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role. The film Awarded by National Film Award. In the same year, he played an important role in the film Rabba Main Kya Karoon. In 2014, he only starred in the film Dedh Ishqiya. In 2015, he worked in several films including Welcome To Karachi, Guddu Rangeela, Fraud Saiyaan, Bhaiyyaji Superhit and Zamaanat.
On 14 February 1999, Arshad Warsi married to her beautiful wife Maria Goretti. They have a son named Zeke Warsi and a daughter Zene Zoe.
