Andhra University, also known as Andhra Viswa Kala Parishad was established back in the year 1926. It is located in Vishakhapatnam, north east coastal Andhra Pradesh. This university is affiliated to University Grants Commission (UGC). It’s motto is ‘May the Divine Light Illuminate Our Studies’. The university is accredited by ‘A’ grade by NAAC. This university has got two parts, the north campus and south campus. The north campus includes all the engineering colleges, while the south campus consist of Humanities, Arts and Science departments and their administrative block. It has faculty strength of 3,000. It has 19 hostels for boys and 4 hostels for girl students.
