Ajit Kumar Doval born on 20^th January 1945 in Ghiri Banelysun, Pauri Garhwal, United Provinces, British India( now in Uttrakhand, India) is the 5^th National Security Adviser of India, became on 30^th May 2014. Ajit’s father was in the Indian Army. He did his school in Ajmer, Rajasthan at Ajmer Military School. He did his graduation from the University of Agra in Economics and got 1^st Position. In 1968 Ajit joined the IPS in Kerala cadre. His interest was always in anti-insurgency operations held in Mizoram and Punjab. In 1971-99 there were 15 Indian Hijackings that took place, and Doval was the part of the missions and gained much experience, he was assigned as the Founder Chairman of MAC ( Multi Agency Centre) and as well as for the Joint Task Force on Intelligence (JTFI). When Mizo National Front (MNF) he was the one who defeated six of Laldenga’s seven commanders. After his Mizoram success, he was sent to Sikkim, where he played the role during the merger of the state with India. The 3^rd National Security Advisor M. K. Narayanan trained Doval in counterterrorism operations. He spent his six years in Islamabad, Pakistan in Indian High Commission. He went to Kashmir to become counter-insurgents targeting the anti-India terrorist in 1990. Doval was the important part in helping 46 Indian Nurses who were trapped in Tikrit, Iraq in June 2014. His best-credited mission for the doctrinal shift in Indian Security Policy in relation to Pakistan, from “Defensive” to “Defensive Offensive” and “Double Squeeze Strategy”. He was the mastermind of the India’s Surgical Strike in Pakistan in September 2016. Ajit got the Police Medal at a very early age, he got the medal in his 6 year career basically it is given after 17 year career, later was honoured with the President’s Police Medal, awarded with the Highest Gallantry Award, the Kirti Chakra, Doval became the first police officer to get this award.
