Aarav took birth in a Tamil family and his father was a Professor in Trichy Govt. Law College. Aarav completed his school education from Trichy and later moved to Chennai. He graduated from Hindustan College, Chennai where he studied B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. V.S. Anandhakrishna who is celebrity Photographer advised Aarav to join modelling. He helped him to become a model. Aarav from childhood had a keen interest in stage plays and acting. After completing his graduation he worked in BOSCH for a year and joined Apollo tires as Manager for Tamil Nadu region. He quit his job to enter into modelling. He changed his name from Nafeez to Aarav in order to pursue his career in Modelling.
After struggling for years, Aarav got a chance to appear in Saithan film (2005). Aarav has a height of 1.78 meters and weighs around 75 Kgs.
