In addition to the basic pay, Senior Residents are entitled to receive usual allowances as admissible under MCD norms.

  • Basic Pay: The Pay Matrix Level-11 corresponds to a basic salary ranging from ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700.
  • Allowances: Along with the basic pay, Senior Residents receive various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA), depending on their eligibility and place of posting.

The total monthly salary, including allowances, typically falls in the range of ₹90,000 to ₹1,10,000 depending on the specific allowances applicable to the individual.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Senior Resident position at GLMH, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

  • MBBS degree from a Medical Council of India (MCI)/National Medical Commission (NMC) recognized university or institution.
  • Postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognized university or institution.

Experience:

  • If candidates with the requisite postgraduate qualifications are not available, those with an MBBS degree and at least two years of experience (including one year in the concerned specialty) may be considered.

Age Limit: The upper age limit for Senior Residents is 45 years as of the last date of application submission. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for PwD candidates.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Tenure: The engagement of Senior Residents is initially for one year, extendable by one year at a time, up to a total of three years, subject to satisfactory performance.
  • Medical Fitness: All appointments are contingent upon the medical fitness of the candidate.
  • No Private Practice: Senior Residents are not allowed to engage in private practice during their tenure at the hospital.
  • Termination: The service can be terminated at any time without assigning any reason.

  • Application Fee: ₹1000 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹500 for SC/ST candidates, payable via Demand Draft. PwD candidates are exempted from the fee.
