2. Examination Fee: Candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 750/- for each paper (Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A, and Paper-2B). The fee can be paid through the payment gateway from 3rd July 2024 to 16th July 2024.

3. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess D.EL.Ed. / B.Ed or equivalent qualifications. Those pursuing the final semester of these courses with the required percentage of marks are also eligible. Candidates wishing to improve their APTET score can also apply.

4. Examination Structure: The APTET July 2024 will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

  • Paper-1A: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes I to V.
  • Paper-1B: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes I to V in Special Education Schools.
  • Paper-2A: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes VI to VIII.
  • Paper-2B: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes VI to VIII in Special Education Schools.

5. Submission of Online Application: Candidates can submit their applications online at APTET website from 4th July 2024 to 17th July 2024. Detailed procedures for applying online are provided in the Information Bulletin, available for free download from the website.

Special Instructions for Candidates

  • Careful Submission: Ensure all information is accurate. Modifications or corrections are not allowed once the application is submitted. If changes are necessary, a new application must be submitted with an additional fee of Rs. 750/-.
  • Selection of Examination Centre: Candidates from Manyam and ASR districts will be accommodated in nearby districts. The selection of examination centres is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Identity Proof: Candidates must present original identity proof on the examination day. Accepted proofs include Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, etc.

Pass Criteria and Validity

  • Pass Marks:
    • OC: 60% and above
    • BC: 50% and above
    • SC/ST/PH/Ex-servicemen: 40% and above
  • Validity of TET Certificate: The APTET certificate will be valid for a lifetime, as per NCTE guidelines dated 9th June 2021.

Weightage for Recruitment

The APTET score will carry 20% weightage in the District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment for teacher positions, with the remaining 80% weightage for the written test in the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT).
