New Delhi, July 19, 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has conducted a comprehensive investigation into the misdemeanour of Ms. Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar, a provisionally recommended candidate for the Civil Services Examination-2022. The investigation revealed that Ms. Khedkar fraudulently availed of attempts beyond the permissible limit under the Examination Rules by falsifying her identity through changing her name, her parents' names, her photograph and signature, as well as her email ID, mobile number, and address.
In light of these findings, the UPSC has initiated a series of actions against Ms. Khedkar. This includes filing a First Information Report (FIR) with the police authorities and issuing a Show Cause Notice (SCN) for the cancellation of her candidature for the Civil Services Examination-2022 and potential debarment from future examinations and selections, in accordance with the Examination Rules.
The UPSC emphasized its unwavering commitment to upholding its Constitutional obligations and conducting all its processes, including examinations, with the utmost diligence and integrity. The Commission reiterated that it strictly adheres to its Constitutional mandate and ensures the highest standards of fairness and adherence to rules in all its examination processes.
