Application:

• For shallow wounds (less than 1 cm deep): Fold or cut the dressing to fit.
• For deeper wounds: Lightly fill the space with Melgisorb Ag up to skin level.
• For undermining or tunneling: Pack lightly with one piece of ribbon, leaving a visible tail for easy removal. Ensure that the dressing does not overlap onto the surrounding skin to prevent maceration.

Removal:
Gently remove the secondary dressing and Melgisorb Ag. If the dressing adheres to the wound bed, moisten with sterile saline to facilitate removal. Ensure all packing is removed.

Frequency of Dressing Change:
The frequency of dressing change depends on the amount of exudate and the type of secondary dressing used. Melgisorb Ag can remain in place for up to 7 days, but wounds in the inflammatory phase may require more frequent changes.
