"Umang Kishore Helpline" – 14425: A Lifeline for Adolescents

The "Umang Kishore Helpline" (14425) is a tele-counseling service operated by the School Education Department with technical support from UNFPA. Launched in 2020, this helpline aims to provide timely and appropriate counseling to adolescents across the state. Available toll-free, the helpline operates from Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM, and on Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM.

The identities, conversations, problems, and incidents reported by callers are kept confidential. To date, the helpline has received over one lakh calls, with daily call volumes exceeding 200.
