Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. (TEIL), a leading engineering conglomerate in India, has announced its foray into the Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) market with the launch of two premium whisky brands – Matsya Triple Reserve Blended Whisky and The Crafters Stamp Rare Artisan Blended Whisky.
The company had previously announced its plans to enter the IMFL segment, and this launch marks the commencement of commercial operations for its new business line.
Matsya, a triple reserve blended whisky, will have an annual production capacity of 420,000 liters. The Crafters Stamp, a rare artisan blended whisky, will have an annual capacity of 135,000 liters. Both brands are targeted at the domestic Indian market.
This strategic move allows Triveni Engineering to diversify its business portfolio and tap into the growing demand for premium spirits in India. The company is leveraging its extensive distribution network and established brand reputation to gain a foothold in this competitive market.
