The Ministry of Tourism has been actively promoting various destinations across Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh through domestic and global campaigns. The government has extended financial assistance under several schemes, including:

Swadesh Darshan: This scheme focuses on developing thematic circuits across India. In Maharashtra, projects like the Sindhudurg Coastal Circuit received ₹1906 lakh, while Uttar Pradesh saw significant investments in circuits like the Buddhist Circuit, Ramayana Circuit, and Spiritual Circuit, with amounts ranging from ₹1203 lakh to ₹12721 lakh.

PRASHAD Scheme: This initiative targets pilgrimage tourism by enhancing infrastructure. Notable projects include the development of Trimbakeshwar in Maharashtra (₹4218 lakh) and multiple projects in Uttar Pradesh, such as the Tourist Facilitation Centre at Vrindavan and the River Cruise Tourism in Varanasi.

Assistance to Central Agencies: In Maharashtra, projects like the modernization of the International Cruise Terminal at Indira Dock, Mumbai, were sanctioned ₹3750 lakh, while in Uttar Pradesh, illumination projects for key monuments in Varanasi were funded.
