Contract Details:

The tender will be executed based on the 1779-A (REVISED 1955) specifications and the GCC (IAFW-2249) with Schedule ‘A’ (list of items of work) to be priced by the tenderers. Contractors are required to submit their bids in accordance with the items listed in Schedule ‘A’.

Eligibility Criteria:

For MES Enlisted Contractors:

• Contractors enlisted with MES in Class ‘D’ and above and categories ‘b (i)’ and ‘d (v)’ are eligible, provided they do not have adverse remarks in their Work Load Register (WLR) from a competent authority.

For Non-Enlisted Contractors:

• Contractors not enlisted with MES must meet the enlistment criteria for ‘D’ class MES contractors and categories ‘b (i)’ and ‘d (v)’. This includes demonstrating satisfactory completion of required value works, annual turnover, solvency, working capital, immovable property/fixed assets, and other qualifications as detailed in the MES Manual on Contracts -2007 (Reprint 2012).

Submission Requirements:

• Bid Submission: Bids must be accompanied by scanned copies of the DD/Banker’s Cheque for the cost of tender and earnest money. Physical copies must be received within five days of the bid submission end date. Failure to submit physical copies on time may result in the bidder being banned from future tenders.

Performance Security Deposit:

• A Performance Security Deposit of 5% of the contract sum is required from the successful bidder within 28 days of receiving the letter of acceptance. The deposit can be made in the form of Bank Guarantee Bonds, Government Securities, Fixed Deposit Receipts (FDR), or other forms stipulated by the Accepting Officer.
