Mohali, India – Swaraj Engines Limited has announced significant changes in its senior management team, effective from July 26, 2024. The Board of Directors has approved key appointments and resignations, following recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

New Appointments and Resignations

Appointment of Mr. Rajya Vardhan Kanoria

• Position: Additional Director (Independent and Non-Executive)
• Effective Date: July 31, 2024
• Term: 5 years, ending on July 30, 2029
• Profile: Mr. Rajya Vardhan Kanoria brings extensive experience in the chemicals, textiles, and jute industries. He is the Chairman & Managing Director of Kanoria Chemicals & Industries Ltd and has held prominent roles in various industry chambers and associations.

Resignation of Mr. Giju Kurian

• Position: Whole Time Director & Chief Executive Officer
• Effective Date: August 31, 2024
• Reason: Transition to a new role within the Mahindra Group

Appointment of Mr. Devjit Sarkar

• Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
• Effective Date: September 1, 2024
• Profile: Mr. Devjit Sarkar, a Mechanical Engineer, has over 36 years of experience in design, operations, projects, and sourcing functions. He has held significant roles within Mahindra Group and other multinational companies, demonstrating expertise in sourcing and supply chain functions.

• Awards: Swiss Ambassador's Award for Leadership and Business Ethics, 2013; Commander of the Order of Leopold II by the King of Belgium

Mr. Devjit Sarkar

• Current Role: COO & Board Member, Erkunt Traktor, Turkey
• Previous Roles: Head of Strategic Sourcing Asia Pacific, VP - Sourcing and Supply Chain at Mahindra Truck & Buses Division
• Expertise: Sourcing, supply chain functions, design, and project management in the automobile and electric motor industries
