RRB Notice: Medical Unfitness Appeal Process

This notice pertains to candidates who were declared medically unfit for the post of Commercial Apprentice after appearing for documents verification and medical examination. Here's a breakdown of the appeal process:

Eligibility:

  • Only candidates declared unfit by the three-member medical committee are eligible to appeal.
  • Appeals must be submitted within one month from the notice date (November 9, 2022).

Appeal Procedure:

  1. Submit a written appeal: Address it to the Principal Chief Medical Director, Northern Railway, Baroda House, New Delhi (through Chairman, RRB Chandigarh).
  2. Include justification for your appeal: Explain why you believe the committee's decision is incorrect.
  3. Attach a medical certificate: Obtain a certificate from a government/private specialist in the field of your unfitness. This certificate should:
    • Acknowledge awareness of Railway medical standards for the relevant category.
    • Confirm knowledge of your previous "unfit" declaration.
    • Carry your photo, identification marks, and issuing authority's details (name, designation, address, registration number).
  4. Pay a fee: Submit a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- drawn in favor of "FA & CAO, Northern Railway, New Delhi."

Deadline: Submit your appeal with all required documents to RRB Chandigarh by December 9, 2022.
