PM Modi's Transformative Policies Bring Development to Neglected Regions: Dr. Jitendra Singh

In a significant public address amidst snowfall conditions, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted the transformative impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies on neglected regions, particularly in the hilly areas of Machhedi, Bani in the Jammu region. Speaking at a public meeting, Dr. Singh emphasized the following key points:

Past Neglect Addressed: Dr. Singh criticized earlier governments for neglecting remote areas of the Jammu region, stating that elected representatives from those parties did not prioritize education or awareness in these regions.

Developmental Focus: Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, a shift occurred towards inclusive development, reaching out to all sections of society, regardless of political affiliations. Dr. Singh highlighted the significant development witnessed in Machhedi and Bani over the past decade, contrasting it with the lack of progress in the preceding six decades.

Empowerment of Remote Areas: Dr. Singh announced the allocation of Rs 20 lakh from his MP fund for Machhedi, with Rs 10 lakh earmarked for a Community Hall, showcasing a commitment to grassroots development.

Impact of Modi Government: Dr. Singh praised the Modi government for instilling confidence among citizens, even in remote areas, by demonstrating genuine concern and delivering on promises of development.

Equal Development: PM Modi's vision aimed to bring neglected regions to the same level as more developed areas, and significant progress has been made in achieving this goal. Investments in infrastructure, such as roads and highways, have vastly improved connectivity and accessibility in hilly regions like Bani.

Accusations of Neglect: Dr. Singh accused previous governments of intentionally neglecting remote hilly regions, possibly to perpetuate their deprivation from opportunities available in other parts of the country.

Youth Empowerment: Reforms introduced under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), such as abolishing interviews in public examinations, have provided equal opportunities for youth from remote areas and disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed.

Infrastructure Development: Projects such as the Chhatargala Tunnel and the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) have been instrumental in improving all-weather connectivity and generating employment opportunities in regions like Bani.
