Parliament Security Service Issues Advisory on PA/PS Passes: Comprehensive Guidelines and Requirements

In an effort to maintain high security within the Parliament Estate, the Parliament Security Service has issued detailed guidelines for the issuance of entry passes for Personal Assistants (PA) and Private Secretaries (PS). These passes are crucial for ensuring that only authorized personnel gain access to the Parliament premises.

Application Process for PA/PS Passes

An entry pass for only one PA/PS per Parliament Member is issued for either the session or inter-session period. The application process requires the Member to submit a prescribed format available at the Centralized Pass Issue Cell, located in the North Utility Block on Red Cross Road. Each time a new PA/PS is appointed, the signature of the Hon'ble Member of Parliament is mandatory in the register maintained at the Centralized Pass Issue Cell (CPIC).

Required Supporting Documents

To obtain an entry pass for a PA/PS, the following documents are necessary:

  1. A duly filled prescribed form.
  2. Character Verification Form.
  3. Undertaking by the Hon'ble Member of Parliament.
  4. Two self-attested copies of Aadhaar. If the applicant has both permanent and correspondence addresses, supporting documents for both addresses are required.
  5. The old PA pass (in case of renewal or change of PA).
  6. One passport-size photograph.

The entry pass will only be issued after all submitted documents have been thoroughly verified.

Security and Traffic Compliance

Hon'ble Members of Parliament are requested to ensure that their drivers and PA/PSs comply with all security and traffic regulations within the Parliament Estate. Drivers should strictly adhere to the designated circulation routes and park their vehicles in the specified parking areas.

Conclusion

The Parliament Security Service solicits the kind cooperation of all Hon'ble Members to adhere to these guidelines. Ensuring compliance with these regulations is vital for maintaining the security and orderly conduct within the Parliament Estate. By following these procedures, Members contribute to a secure and efficient operational environment.
