In organizations utilizing the National Informatics Centre (NIC) email services, resetting passwords and updating user profiles are routine tasks. Here's a comprehensive guide to assist you through the process:

Resetting NIC Email ID Password:

1. Visit mail.gov.in and click on "Forgot password."
2. Choose "PASSAPP."
3. Enter your Nicemail Address and Captcha value.
4. Click the Submit button to proceed.
5. Check for the SMS sent to your registered mobile number for the Random Number Code.
6. Enter the Random Number and Captcha value.
7. Input your new password adhering to the specified criteria.
8. Re-enter the new password and Captcha value.
9. Click Submit to finalize the process.

Updating NIC Email ID User's Profile:

1. Click on the Profile & Last login button after logging in.
2. Enter your email ID and current password.
3. Input the captcha code and press Login.
4. Follow the instructions marked with red color:
   • Fill all fields marked with (*)
   • Click "update now" at the bottom of the page
   • Press logout at the right-hand corner.

Updating NIC Email ID User's Mobile Number:

1. Click on the Update Mobile No. button.
2. Enter the username, password, and captcha code.
3. Click Login and then Edit mobile number.
4. Click on Random Code to receive the code via SMS.
5. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
6. Input the new mobile number and OTP received on it.
7. Press the Update Button to save changes.
8. Log out from the account.
