A Comprehensive Guide to Restoring Your NIC Email ID Password

In the digital age, access to email is paramount for communication. If you've forgotten your NIC (National Informatics Centre) email ID password, restoring it is essential. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to regain access to your NIC email ID.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Accessing the Recovery Page

1. Open your web browser and go to https://mail.gov.in.
2. Click on "Forgot ID/Password".

Step 2: Initiating the Password Recovery Process

1. Select "PASSAPP".
2. Enter your NIC email address and the image contents.

Step 3: Verification via Mobile Number

1. After entering your email and image contents, a random number will be sent to the mobile number registered with your email ID.
2. The last three digits of your registered mobile number will appear on the left-hand side of the PAA-APP page, verifying the process.

Step 4: Updating Mobile Number (If Necessary)

1. If your registered mobile number has changed, contact the Computer Cell at the DGP office via compcell.dgoffice@mahapolice.gov.in to update it.
