MCD to Auction Unclaimed Goods and Materials on August 12, 2024, at Karol Bagh Zone

New Delhi, July 22, 2024: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), under the authority of the Assistant Commissioner of the Karol Bagh Zone, has announced a public auction of unclaimed goods and materials. The auction is scheduled for August 12, 2024, at 11:30 A.M. at the Municipal Store in Karampura, near Milan Cinema.

The items to be auctioned include a wide array of goods that have been removed from public land, government land, and footpaths under sections 147 and 322 of the DMC Act. These items consist of Rehris (handcarts), miscellaneous wooden articles, iron and steel materials, cylinders, utensils, advertisement boards, counters, crates (Peti), grills, gates, and various plastics. Notably, unclaimed vehicles are excluded from this auction.

Important Details for Bidders:

• Earnest Money Deposit: Every intending bidder must deposit an earnest money amount of ₹50,000. This amount can be deposited in cash, demand draft, or IPO, and must be in favor of the "Commissioner Municipal Corporation of Delhi" before the auction begins. This deposit will be refunded or adjusted after the auction concludes.
• Immediate Payment: The highest bidder is required to pay the full bid amount in cash or demand draft immediately after the hammer falls.
• Goods Condition: The auctioned items will be sold on an "as is and where is" basis. Bidders should inspect the goods thoroughly before participating in the auction.
• Inspection Date: Interested parties can inspect the unclaimed items on August 6, 2024, from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at various MCD stores.
• Post-Auction Conditions: The successful bidder must remove the goods from the Municipal Store within 48 hours after the auction. Failure to do so will relieve the department of any responsibility for the auctioned goods.

The MCD's auction committee retains the right to cancel any bid without providing a reason. This measure ensures transparency and fairness in the auction process.

The auction notice has been widely circulated among all Deputy Commissioners of the zones for maximum publicity. Additionally, the notice has been posted on the MCD website and displayed on various notice boards across the Karol Bagh Zone.
