MCD Appoints Shri Rohit Bhati as Assistant Law Officer Under Direct Recruitment Quota

New Delhi, July 5, 2024 – The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has officially appointed Shri Rohit Bhati to the post of Assistant Law Officer under the Direct Recruitment Quota. This appointment follows the issuance of Result Notice No. 1459 and subsequent approval by the Commissioner of MCD. Shri Rohit Bhati, son of Shri Gajraj Singh, has been selected to join the MCD's Law Department, bringing with him a background that aligns with the role's requirements.

Details of Appointment:

Shri Rohit Bhati has been placed in Level 9 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), which corresponds to a pre-revised pay band of ₹9,300-34,800 with a Grade Pay of ₹5,400. In addition to the basic pay, he will receive other usual allowances as permissible under MCD's rules and regulations.

The appointment is subject to several conditions:

1. Shri Rohit Bhati will begin his tenure with the minimum salary of the specified pay scale.
2. The terms and conditions of his appointment align with those previously accepted by him in the offer of appointment, which was issued on June 26, 2024.
3. He will be governed by the rules, regulations, and orders applicable to all MCD employees.
4. Shri Rohit Bhati may be posted to any location within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
5. The appointment is also contingent upon any pending court cases related to this matter.

Shri Rohit Bhati has been directed to report to the Chief Law Officer at the MCD Headquarters within 15 days of this notice to receive his posting and assignment of duties. Failure to comply with this directive may result in the cancellation of the appointment without further notice.
