Important Guidelines for Haj 2024 Application

Essential Guidelines for Haj 2024 Application

1. Address and Contact Information

  • Accurate Address: Ensure that the address provided in the Haj Application Form (HAF) is correct. Providing incorrect information may lead to rejection of the application and forfeiture of the deposited amount.
  • Mobile Number: Enter your correct mobile number in the HAF. This is crucial as the Haj Committee of India (HCoI) and State Haj Committees (SHCs) will send important information and instructions via SMS/Voice messages. Note that failure to adhere to timelines due to non-receipt of messages will not be grounds for claiming seat allocation.

2. Bank Account Details

  • Cover Head's Bank Account: A bank account in the name of the Cover Head is mandatory. Pilgrims should ensure their bank accounts are updated to facilitate digital refunds through RTGS/NEFT.

3. Solemn Declaration

  • Declaration Status: Each pilgrim must provide a solemn declaration regarding their status, such as Fresh, Repeater, Companion of age 70+, or Ladies Without Mehram (LWM), as detailed in the Haj Guidelines.

4. Post-Provisional Selection Requirements

  • Document Submission: After provisional selection, submit the following:
    • Self-attested copy of the downloaded HAF
    • Solemn declaration
    • Medical Screening & Fitness Certificate
    • Original receipt/proof of payment for Non-Refundable Processing Fee & Advance Haj Amount
    • Original Passport with a recent photograph pasted on the back
  • Address Proof: If your residential address is the same as in your passport, provide a copy of the passport. Otherwise, submit a self-attested copy of one of the following:
    • Aadhaar Card
    • Bank Pass Book
    • Election Commission Photo I.D Card
    • Utility Bill (Electricity, Telephone (Land-line), Water, or Gas) for the last 3 months

5. Submission of Application

  • Envelope Labeling: The envelope containing the completed HAF should be labeled "Application for Haj - 2024 (Hijri - 1445)" and sent to the Executive Officer of the SHC concerned within one week of Qurrah.
  • Incomplete Applications: Applications submitted without the required enclosures as per the guidelines will be considered incomplete and rejected.
