How to Retrieve a Uniview Camera's Password?

If you’ve forgotten your Uniview camera's password or need to reset it, don’t worry. This guide will walk you through the steps to regain access to your camera, ensuring your security and peace of mind.

Step 1: Try the Default Password

Before proceeding with a reset, attempt to log in using the default password provided with your camera. If this fails, continue to the next steps.

Step 2: Identify the Login Interface

Interface 1: "Forgot Password?" Option is Available

  • If you see "Forgot Password?" on the login page, click on it.
  • Result 1: If a date appears at the bottom of the page, send the camera's SN and this date to globalsupport@uniview.com to receive a temporary password.
  • Result 2: If a QR code with an accessible email address is displayed, follow the on-screen instructions to retrieve the password via EZView/EZLive. Check your email's junk or spam folders if necessary.
  • Result 3: If a QR code with an inaccessible email address or "Email not set" appears, screenshot the QR code and send it along with the camera’s SN to globalsupport@uniview.com for further assistance.

Interface 2: "Forgot Password?" Option is Unavailable or Greyed Out

  • If you cannot find "Forgot Password?" on the login page or it is greyed out, try the following solutions:
    • Solution 1: Send the camera’s model number, SN, and current system date to globalsupport@uniview.com for a temporary password/security code.
    • Solution 2: Arrange a remote session on your Windows computer using TeamViewer for the Uniview tech support team to assist with troubleshooting.

Step 3: Modify the Device Password

After successfully logging in, it’s crucial to change the device password immediately to ensure continued security.
