How to Reset Your Augusta Tech Okta Password: A Complete Guide for Faculty and Staff

If you're a faculty or staff member at Augusta Technical College and have forgotten your Okta password, don't worry! This guide is designed to help you quickly and efficiently reset your password using either email or phone recovery methods.

Step 1: Accessing the Okta Single Sign-On (SSO)

Begin by navigating to the Augusta Technical College SMARTWeb portal. From the "Student" drop-down menu in the green bar, select "Okta SSO." Alternatively, you can find the "Okta Single Sign-On" option under the "Tools and Resources" list on the left side of the page.

Step 2: Logging In or Initiating Password Reset

Once you're on the Okta SSO page, you have two options:

• Option 1: Enter your Augusta Tech email address and click "Next." If you remember your password, input it and click "Verify." This will take you to the Okta Dashboard (Skip to Step 6).
• Option 2: If you've forgotten your password, select the "Forgot Password?" link.

Step 3: Choose Your Password Reset Method

Clicking "Forgot Password?" brings you to the reset screen where you can choose to reset your password via Email or Phone:

• Email: A reset link will be sent to your Augusta Tech email. The link is valid for one hour.
• Phone: A code will be sent via SMS to your phone. If you prefer, you can opt to receive a voice call instead.

Step 4: Entering the Reset Code (Phone Method)

If you choose the phone method, you'll receive a text message with a reset code. Enter this code on the provided screen to proceed. If you selected voice call, you'll receive the code via an automated call.

Step 5: Setting a New Password

Once you’ve successfully received the reset code, you’ll be prompted to enter a new password. Ensure the password meets the specified complexity requirements and click "Reset Password."

Step 6: Accessing the Okta Dashboard

After resetting your password or successfully logging in, you’ll be directed to the Okta Dashboard. If you're not on the Augusta Tech network or are off-campus, you'll need to complete multi-factor authentication.

Step 7: Updating Your Account Settings
