How to Reset Password on CCTV Security Pros Alpha Model X Devices: A Step-by-Step Guide for Users

In this article, we will guide you through the process of resetting your password on the CCTV Security Pros Alpha Model X devices. Whether you’re a new user who has forgotten the admin password or just need a refresher, this step-by-step guide is designed to help you securely reset your password using either email verification or security questions.

Step 1: Access the Device Login Screen

To begin, power on your CCTV Security Pros Alpha Model X system and navigate to the device login screen.

• Unlock Pattern: If you have set an unlock pattern, enter it first. If you've forgotten it, click on "Forgot Unlock Pattern" to proceed to the password login interface.
• No Unlock Pattern: If no pattern was set, the system will directly display the system login screen.

Step 2: Enter the Password Reset Menu

Once you're on the login screen:

• Click on the "Forgot Password" option.
• The system will prompt you to enter the password reset menu.

Step 3: Reset the Login Password

You have two options to reset your password:

Reset by Email:

• Ensure your admin account is linked to an email.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to scan the QR code provided.
• A security code will be sent to your registered email address.
• Enter the security code into the system to reset your password.
• Note: The security code is valid for 24 hours, so be sure to complete the process within this time frame.

Reset by Security Questions:

• If you've set up security questions during the initial setup, choose "Security Questions" from the reset type dropdown menu.
• Answer the questions correctly to proceed with the password reset.

Step 4: Complete the Password Reset

After successfully verifying your identity through email or security questions:

• You’ll be prompted to create a new password.
• Enter and confirm your new password.
• Click "Next" to finalize the reset process.

Your CCTV Security Pros Alpha Model X system will now be updated with the new password, and you can log in as usual.
