How to Reset Expired or Forgotten IVCC Password(s)

Resetting an expired or forgotten IVCC password can be a hassle, but with the right steps, you can quickly regain access to your account. Whether your password is about to expire or has already expired, this guide will walk you through the necessary steps to reset it, both on-campus and off-campus.

For Password(s) About to Expire

If your password is about to expire, you can easily change it using an IVCC device on-campus or from any off-campus location through your email.

On-Campus Device:

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
  2. Choose "Change Password."
  3. Enter your old password and create a new password that meets the following requirements:
    • 14 or more characters in length.
    • Includes at least three of the following: uppercase, lowercase, number, special character.

Off-Campus Device:

  1. Log into your email at outlook.office.com.
  2. Click on your profile icon and select "View Account."
  3. Go to "Password" and enter your old and new passwords to update.

Password Requirements:

  • Password expiration occurs every 90 days, so it's essential to create a strong and memorable password.

For Passwords Already Expired or Forgotten

If your password has already expired or you have forgotten it, follow these steps to reset it:

Navigate to the Office 365 login website at outlook.office.com and select "Can't access your account?"

OR

Visit passwordreset.microsoftonline.com and follow the prompts.

Select "Work or School Account" and enter your school email address.

Follow the recovery options configured for your account to reset your password.
