How to Reach ICAR-Indian Institute of Vegetable Research (IIVR), Varanasi
Getting to IIVR Varanasi: Your Travel Guide
The ICAR-Indian Institute of Vegetable Research (IIVR) is well-connected to the rest of India through air, rail, and road networks. Here are your options for reaching the institute:
1. By Air:
- Nearest Airport: Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi (VNS)
- From the Airport:
- Taxi/Auto-Rickshaw: Hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw directly to IIVR. This is the most convenient option.
- Local Bus: Take a local bus heading towards Chunarghat via Adalpura. IIVR is located near Adalpura.
2. By Rail:
- Nearest Railway Station: Varanasi Junction (also known as Varanasi Cantt.)
- From the Station:
- Taxi/Auto-Rickshaw: Hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw to IIVR.
- Local Bus: Take a local bus heading towards Chunarghat via Adalpura.
3. By Road:
- Varanasi is well-connected by national highways.
- If driving, use GPS navigation or ask for directions to the Adalpura-Mohansarai Road. IIVR is located near Adalpura, about 25 kilometers south of Varanasi Junction.
Local Transport from Varanasi:
- Taxi/Auto-Rickshaw: The easiest way to reach IIVR is by hiring a taxi or auto-rickshaw.
- Local Bus: Buses plying from Varanasi Cantt. to Chunarghat via Adalpura will drop you near IIVR.
