How to Check the Status of a Lost/Stolen Mobile Request on CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) Website

CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) is a centralized database of IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) numbers of mobile phones, maintained by the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India. If your mobile phone is lost or stolen, you can register a request with CEIR to block the device. After registering the request, you can check the status of your request online through the CEIR website. Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Visit the CEIR Website: Open your web browser and navigate to the official CEIR website using the following URL: CEIR Request Status

Step 2: Access the Request Status Page: Once you are on the CEIR website, locate and click on the "Check lost/stolen Mobile Request Status" option. This will redirect you to the Request Status page.

Step 3: Enter Request ID and Captcha: On the Request Status page, you will see a form prompting you to enter your Request ID and Captcha. The Request ID is provided to you at the time of registering the lost/stolen mobile request. Enter the Request ID in the designated field. Additionally, enter the text displayed in the Captcha image in the provided field. This is to verify that you are a human user and not a bot.

Step 4: Submit the Form: After entering the Request ID and Captcha, click on the "Submit" button to proceed.

Step 5: View Request Status: Once you submit the form, the CEIR website will process your request and display the status of your lost/stolen mobile request. The status could indicate whether your request is pending, approved, rejected, or any other relevant information.
