How to Apply for General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) Posts in Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission

The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced the recruitment for 55 General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) positions across Allopathy, Dental Surgery, and Homeopathy disciplines under the Department of Health and Family Welfare. Eligibility Criteria:

For GDMO (Allopathy):

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
    • Completion of a compulsory rotating internship.
  2. Reserved Seats:
    • 29 seats for APST candidates.
    • 3 seats for APST PwBD candidates.
    • 8 unreserved seats.

For GDMO (Dental Surgeon):

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Recognized medical qualification in Dentistry included in the Schedule to the Dentist Act, 1948.
    • Completion of a compulsory rotating internship.
  2. Reserved Seats:
    • 6 seats for APST candidates.
    • 1 seat for APST PwBD candidates.
    • 2 unreserved seats.

For GDMO (Homeopathy):

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Recognized medical qualification in Homeopathy included in the Second or Third Schedule to the Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.
    • Completion of a compulsory rotating internship.
  2. Reserved Seats:
    • 5 seats for APST candidates.
    • 1 unreserved seat.

How to Apply:

Registration:

  • Before applying, candidates must register for ONE TIME REGISTRATION (OTR) on the APPSC website.
  • If already registered, use the same user ID and password to log in.

Online Application:

  • Visit the official APPSC website here and follow the detailed instructions for filling out the application form.
  • Submit only one application. If multiple applications are submitted, the one with the highest Registration ID will be accepted.
  • Government employees must apply directly on the APPSC website and upload a copy of the intimation submitted to their respective department or a NOC.

Uploading Documents:

  • Signature: Upload a signature on white paper with a black ink pen (40-50 kb in jpg format).
  • Photograph: Upload a recent passport-size photo with a white background (40-100 kb in jpg format).
  • Certificates: Upload self-attested copies of degree certificates, mark sheets, matriculation certificate for age proof, APST certificate, PRC/Aadhar Card (for general candidates), and Medical Council/Dental Council/Homeopathy Council Registration Certificate (if applicable).

Application Fee:

  • APST candidates: ₹150
  • General candidates: ₹200
  • PwBD candidates are exempt from the application fee.
