How to Add the Name of a Baby in the Birth Certificate Issued by MCD After 01.04.2021

If you need to add the name of your child to the birth certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) after April 1, 2021, you can do so easily through the MCD's online portal. Follow these steps to complete the process:

Step 1: Access the MCD Web Portal

1. Open your web browser and enter the following URL: https://mcdonline.nic.in.

Step 2: Navigate to Online Services

Select Your Municipal Corporation:

• Click on the appropriate Delhi Municipal Corporation for your area to access online services.

Registration of Birth and Death:

• Place your cursor on the Registration of Birth and Death option.

Step 3: Citizen Login

Click on 'Citizen Login' to access the login page.

Enter Your Registered Mobile Number:

• Type in the mobile number that is registered with the MCD portal.

Enter OTP:

• An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your mobile number. Enter this OTP to log in.

Step 4: Add Child's Name to the Birth Certificate

Access the Birth Certificate Section:

• Once logged in, click on the 'ACTIONS' tab.

Check the Status:

• Ensure that the status against the respective application displays "Certificate Generated". This indicates that the birth certificate is ready for the child's name to be added.

Click on 'Add Child Name':

• In the ACTION tab, click on the 'Add Child Name' option.

Fill in the Child's Name:

• The birth form No.1 will open up. Enter the name of your child in the appropriate field.

Upload Necessary Documents:

• Upload any required documents as specified in the form, such as proof of birth or identification.

Submit the Form:

• After entering the child's name and uploading the necessary documents, click on the Submit button.

Step 5: Payment and Approval

Verify Details and Make Payment:

• Verify the entered details and proceed to make a payment of Rs.10/- for the child name addition fee. Payment can be made through various online options like Debit/Credit/Visa/Internet Banking, etc.

Forwarding for Approval:

• Once the payment is successful, the application will be forwarded to the Zonal Sub-registrar of MCD for approval.
