About Topaz helium project

The Topaz helium project is an exciting venture undertaken by Pulsar Helium Inc. in the USA. Here are the key details about this project:

  1. Location:
    • Topaz is situated in Minnesota, Midwest USA.
    • It represents a new helium discovery in a region where Pulsar is the first mover.
  2. Helium Content:
    • Topaz boasts one of the world’s highest-grade helium occurrences.
    • It has been drilled and flowed, revealing an impressive 10.5% helium content.
    • Importantly, only trace hydrocarbons are present.
  3. Geological Significance:
    • The geology of the discovery area includes some of the oldest rocks in North America.
    • This suggests excellent helium source rock.
    • Stable tectonic conditions over the last billion years may have allowed significant helium volumes to accumulate.
  4. Immediate Plans:
    • In the fourth quarter of 2023, an appraisal well will be drilled near the 2011 discovery.
    • Specialized down-hole tests will assess the properties of the helium reservoir.
    • The goal is to evaluate Topaz’s potential as a profitable helium producer.
  5. Access and Location:
    • Topaz is located in the state of Minnesota, approximately 100 km north of Duluth.
    • Duluth serves as a regional center supporting the vast iron ore mines of North America.
    • Access is available via both the existing road network and the Great Lakes.
  6. Mineral Rights:
    • The Topaz Project is located on private mineral rights for which Pulsar holds an exclusive lease.
    • Additionally, the company has an exclusive option for additional privately held mineral rights in the vicinity of the discovery well.
