Honda Cars India’s "ELEVATE ZX MT R (i-VTEC) BSVI" Model Approved for Registration in Tamil Nadu

The Transport Department of Tamil Nadu has officially approved the registration of the "ELEVATE ZX MT R (i-VTEC) BSVI" model from Honda Cars India Ltd. This announcement, communicated via Letter No. 34119-HB2-2024, dated October 7, 2024, grants permission for the registration of the latest Honda model in the state.

The ELEVATE ZX MT R (i-VTEC) BSVI model has been granted registration permission in Tamil Nadu, following the application by Honda Cars India Ltd, headquartered at their technical support center in Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai.

Type Approval:
The vehicle has been certified with the Type Approval Certificate No. 1570/2024, issued by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT), Gurugram, ensuring that the model meets the latest automotive standards, including compliance with OBD Stage-II regulations.

Process for Registration:
All Regional Transport Officers (RTOs) and Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVIs) in Tamil Nadu have been instructed to register the Honda ELEVATE ZX MT R (i-VTEC) BSVI in accordance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and the applicable rules. The registration process will follow the standard procedures and department guidelines.

Departmental Orders:
The approval was communicated to all relevant authorities within the Tamil Nadu Transport Department, including Zonal Officers and RTOs. Additionally, the Assistant Secretary III has verified the compliance of the model with the required standards.

Instructions for RTOs and Transport Authorities:

All RTOs in Tamil Nadu are instructed to comply with the registration process, and Zonal Joint Transport Commissioners are required to ensure acknowledgment of this circular. The authorities must also ensure that the respective RTOs in their zones receive and act on the registration orders.
