Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Field of Expertise: Candidates should be of eminence in Food Science or have substantial experience in Administration, particularly with positions held at or above the rank of Secretary to the Government of India.
• Relevant Experience: Experience with Central/State Regulatory Bodies related to food safety is a desirable qualification.

Age and Tenure

• The selected Chairperson will hold office for a term of three years, with eligibility for re-appointment for another three years or until the age of 65, whichever is earlier.
