Government of India Department of Atomic Energy Announces Transfer of Deputy Chief Security Officer

In an official communication dated October 3, 2024, the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), through the Centralised Cadre Section, issued Office Order No. 53/2024 announcing the transfer of Shri Vikas B. Bhosale, Deputy Chief Security Officer (DCSO). This transfer is made under the authority of the Cadre Controlling Authority and is effective immediately.

Post Transfer:
The post of Deputy Chief Security Officer (Level-11 of Pay Matrix), which was previously operated at the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD), Hyderabad, has been temporarily transferred to the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai.

Officer Transferred:
Shri Vikas B. Bhosale, DCSO at AMD, Hyderabad, has been transferred to BARC, Mumbai (Anushaktinagar) in the same capacity. The transfer is temporary and made in the public interest, and Shri Bhosale will serve at BARC, Mumbai, until further notice.

Transfer Objective:
The transfer aims to address the operational and security needs at BARC, Mumbai, a key institution under the Department of Atomic Energy. This action has been taken as per the Cadre Controlling Authority's discretion.

The transfer order is effective immediately and remains in place until further instructions are issued.

  • All Heads of Units of DAE have been notified of this transfer, and the necessary administrative procedures will be followed.
  • The Head of CISD, DAE, Mumbai, has been requested to ensure that this information is uploaded on the official DAE website for public dissemination.
