For Haj 2024, there will be 20 operational Embarkation Points (EPs) for Indian pilgrims. These points were used in the previous Haj (Haj 2023), and pilgrims may choose any two EPs in order of preference. If the number of pilgrims exceeds the capacity of an EP, especially by more than 10%, they may be redirected to one of five specific EPs (Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, or Mumbai), which could alter their travel costs.
