In an important update for candidates preparing for the 20th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the exam date. As per the latest public notice (F. No. /CBSE/CTET/Dec./2024/e-73233/Revised Dated 09.10.2024), the CTET exam will now be held on 14th December 2024 (Saturday) instead of the previously scheduled date of 15th December 2024 (Sunday).
The date change comes after the CBSE received feedback from candidates regarding the scheduling of other competitive exams in certain states and union territories on 15th December 2024. To ensure that candidates are not conflicted with multiple exams, CBSE has decided to pre-pone the CTET exam to 14th December 2024 (Saturday).
In cities where the number of registered candidates exceeds the seating capacity for 14th December, the CTET exam will also be conducted on 15th December 2024 (Sunday), allowing all candidates to take the exam without logistical issues.
The online application process has already begun from 17th September 2024, and interested candidates must complete their applications before the deadline.
Candidates should follow the same guidelines and instructions mentioned in the CTET Information Bulletin. No other changes have been made except for the exam date revision.
